Eloi Mugabe Bigirimana
Co Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Eloi a Biochemistry major at Butler University. He was born in Lusaka, Zambia to Burundian refugee parents, and is the second born of three children. Having seen first hand the differences in education between the United States and developing countries Eloi felt compelled to give people resources and opportunities to become whatever they aspire to be. Eloi is also passionate about creating sustainable communities that impact the world through education & technology, resulting in the creation of Compass Vision in 2016.
Gabrielle Blackburn
Chief Marketing Officer
Gabrielle Blackburn is a Data Analytics Marketing Major at Texas A&M University. She is 20 years old and was adopted from Jiangxi, China. She is the eldest of three other siblings who were also adopted from China. Given the chance to be raised in a country where education is thriving, she recognizes what a privilege it is to receive an education and the many opportunities that can come with it. Therefore, she believes in giving everyone an equal opportunity to be exposed to educational opportunities for growth and development. She believes the path of Compass Vision aligns with her beliefs and cannot wait to see what is in store for this organization in the future.
Eric Mills
Co Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Eric Mills is a 19 year old engineering student at Texas A&M University. He helped start Compass Vision, a non-profit organization centered around education. His main focus is to give everyone the chance to learn and have an equal opportunity to achieve their goals. Eric is wanting to make a change in the world and leave it in a better condition than when he entered it. He believes that education is the building block to everything and without knowledge, we are lost. His favorite quote is “Once gained, knowledge and a work ethic are two things no one can take away from you.”
Anthony Doe
Co Founder
Anthony is an Aerospace Engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin. He is 19 years old and is the first of three children. He is passionate about creating an impact in the educational development of children and has been involved with speaking to students at schools in the Keller Independent School District. Moving forward, he wants to be involved in exposing underprivileged students to educational opportunities giving them the chance to use their full creativity. One day, he hopes to open up a school in Colón, Panamá where his mother grew up and his cousins currently live.
Eyde Linder
Director of Woman's Health
Eyde Linder is a Certified Birth Doula living in Fort Worth, Texas. She is passionate about supporting women and girls through compassion and education, and desires to a be a part of changing the narrative surrounding women's health. After beginning her journey as a doula in 2017, she discovered that the need for menstrual education is a necessity both locally and globally. Since 2018, she has been traveling to Kampala, Uganda in hopes to encourage an attitude of awareness and excitement about menstrual health among high school girls. She is excited to be a part of Compass Vision because she sees the importance of pouring into the lives of others, and she hopes to have the opportunity to support women from all walks of life for many years to come.
Tim Niyogusaba
Director of Health Initiatives & Senior Advisor
Tim Niyogusaba is a fourth-year Medical Student at Emory University School of Medicine, who hails from Bujumbura, Burundi. Tim moved to the United States in 2014 after completing highschool in Kigali, Rwanda. He is interested in global health initiatives, technology and education as the vital tools needed to empower the next generation of Africans.
